Bumblebee Eyes

Hello :)
I realize it's been nearly a year since the last post, and I feel that I should apologize for that. If anyone would like to join as a makeup artist, contact me on Stardoll or leave a comment under the 'Join Us' tab. If you've left a comment there, and no one has replied, again, sorry. But without further ado, I present to you a new tutorial :P

Bumblebee Eyeshadow

This is the overall look..

Apply Sunny Bunny Fake Lashes. I try to place them at the edge of the black kohl liner so that they look much longer. Feel free to change them after you have the liner on.

Here, I've applied these three colors of blush. As you might've noticed in the picture above, the apples of the cheeks where a lighter color than the rest of the face. I use the skin tone blush to cover that color rather well, I feel that it adds definition and depth to the cheeks somehow. It probably has to do with the shadows and what not, I'm sure you'll see if you do it to your doll. Then I lined the shape of the cheeks with the hot pink blush. If you notice, a little under the nose, on each side of the jaw, there's a shadow, sort of like a line. You might be able to notice it more easily on the right side, see how towards the bottom it gets a little darker? I like to follow that for the bottom part of the blush. Then I filled in with the lighter pink over the skin colored blush applied first.
Now for the eyes. I applied liquid liner in the small gap there is in the eyes under the iris, mostly between the pupil and the inner corner of the eye. Then I did the white kohl liner and the black kohl liner. A little tip to make sure you don't run out of liner before you finish is to do the white liner in the inner corner of the eyes, then fill in with the black pencil, and lastly fill in that little gap I was talking about before. Add your volumizing and lengthening mascaras and you're done with this bit.

I changed the hairstyle so that it would be easier to show the eyeshadow. At the bottom of the picture are the four colors that I use for the eyes. Begin with the black and wing it out, beginning around the pupil. Keep in mind there's a color under it, so don't make the black wing too short.

Here's the tricky part that makes the whole look. Using the yellow eyeshadow, curve it around the black kohl. Like a second layer of kohl. It's fine if it's a bit messy, the slight overlapping when you're zoomed in will look like smudging when you zoom out.
Add the pink from the pupil to the outer corner, covering the brow bone between the black and the eyebrow to complete the eye makeup and define the brow bone.

Add any accesories you want to finish off the look. I used the black arrow statement makeup from Splendid I think it was.

Enjoy :D

Doree & Dot: Falling into color!

Today Stardoll has released a new collection for Dot and Doree: Fallin' into color. The tones are quite darker than usual but that's just because fall is coming soon. Doree has also joined this collection bringing 9 hair dyes and 9 highlighters.

Actually, there's a sad part about this; after the big %50 off at dot, all the old collections except for summer pastels have left starplaza. You can't find them on search so yeah, they are totally gone.

Anyway, what do you think of this collection?
Would you like to see a tutorial of this?

xoxo, Lucy.

Secrets for sassy red lips

Another lip tutorial!
Red lips are so elegant, and they have all the glam.. but to rock them up, you need to get them to look perfect. So I will show you a few secrets for getting sassy red lips!

First off, apply red lipstick, but remember to apply it twice so the color will look more intense.

Next and final step is to apply lipgloss in the middle of the lips and in cupid's bow.

The reason why we apply lipgloss like this is because shine in the middle makes your lips looking deeper and also, they can shine perfectly because these will look lightened up.
See how the lips would look with lipgloss everywhere?

So yes, there's a difference :)

Now, prefer a matte shine?

First apply a black lipstick on the lips, but don't apply it on the middle. If you dont get what I mean, check out the picture :)

Now, take your red lipstick and apply it on your lips.

Apply the lipstick again and you are done!

Well now we are finished, go enjoy your sassy red lips!

(yes I was wearing different lipstick) c:

Ombre Lips!

Hi! Today I'm going to show you how to create Ombre Lips. This technique will be really in this season, personally, I think it's amazing! Well before getting started, I would like to apologize because I couldn't upload this, since I've been really busy with exams and I lost the video.

Okay, let's get started!

Start applying a dark pink lipstick in the upper lip, if you don't know what color I'm talking about, simply apply the Paeonia lipstick by L'occitane or the Capricho lipstick. Don't worry if a little lipstick ends up in the lower lip.

Next step is to apply a neon pink lipstick, like the brightest one from Natura Faces neon collection on the lower lip.

Step 3: This is the hardest step, but it's totally worth it; see how it transforms the look? Line the lower lip with a pink LIPSTICK. Here I used the Mme Louis lipstick by L'occitanne, you can use any other brands but honestly, for this look this one would work better and it would not be so hard to manage since L'occitanne's lipstick brushes are thin.
Take your time on this part.

Now you are finished, if you want, you can apply a little bit of lipgloss in the middle of the lower lips and in cupid's bow :3

Hello there, it's been a while since I've posted... But I was curious, I have a makeup look and I want to know if any of you want a a tutorial on it.. I'm not entirely even sure who's doll I did this on, but I can do my best to replicate it.
